Investment Intern

Broad Street Realty is a fully integrated real estate investment, development, and brokerage group based in Bethesda, MD. Since 2002, we have acquired and developed properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Denver, CO regions.

Broad Street offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about pursuing a career in the commercial real estate industry. Our internships are paid, 10-12 week programs within one of Broad Street’s divisions. We have designed learning and development activities especially for you!

Participation in Broad Street’s Internship program is intended to provide you with a well-rounded knowledge of the commercial real estate business and valuable skills, earned by working alongside our talented professionals in one of the top commercial real estate firms.

Our internship program not only accelerates your learning and development but also provides you with a unique perspective on our integrated business units. As a Broad Street intern, you will be provided an opportunity to create a strong foundation upon which to build your commercial real estate career!

Opportunity

We are in search of a student that is self-motivated, creative, and disciplined, seeking to excel in the commercial real estate industry. Broad Street’s interns will build valuable real estate finance experience working with three different yet collaborative teams. The opportunity will afford exposure to the Portfolio Growth Team analyzing acquisition opportunities including deal sourcing & evaluation, pro forma financial analysis, lease review, and due diligence work. Additionally, interns will assist the Asset Management Team with portfolio operations including individual-level and portfolio-level property performance, leasing activity, and market research. Interns will develop an understanding of and gain experience computing multiple market-standard key performance indicators for REITS.

Qualifications

This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background, preferably in business or real estate. Students must have

  • Interest in the real estate industry
  • Undergraduate junior or senior, or a graduate student
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
